Cultural Awareness Programme implemented through participation in celebration of our festivals such as Holi, Diwali, Eid, Onam, Makar Sankranti, etc. as well as eminent days including Gandhi Jayanti, Ambedkar Jayanti, Tipu Jayanti, Mahaveer Jayanti, Republic Day, Independence Day, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Mahaparinirvana Diwas, etc. These festivals not only describe the diversity in the nation but also the unity and fragnance of being different from others. We imparted the knowledge among the groups that cultural awareness is all about recognizing and understanding that we all have different values shaped by our diverse cultural backgrounds. So, we should be respectful to the different cultures that exist in our country. By being respectful of others and accepting people’s opinions, rights and feelings – even when they are different to our own – we allow ourselves to develop more successful personal and professional relationships and benefit from cultural diversity. Being culturally aware and sensitive to cultural differences can become essential skills in our day-to-day working lives.
